The 25th Annual BioCycle West Coast Conference 2010 is WHERE you need to be on April 12-15, in San Diego, California.

This conference will bring together the people who are making a difference in waste management – today’s leaders who are conducting research, managing projects and facilities that turn municipal, industrial and agricultural wastes into marketable resources including compost, renewable energy, soil conditioners, biofuels, and other high-value products.

Conference sessions cover zero waste, renewable energy from organics recycling, building compost markets, residential source separated organics collection, advances in anaerobic digestion and MSW composting, compost utilization, biofuels developments and much more. A special track will focus on organic waste management in tribal and rural communities.

Learn from and network with industry leaders and practitioners who have been through the ropes of project permitting, financing, start-up and successful facility management. BioCycle West Coast Conference 2010 is your best investment and guide to sustainable waste and resource management.

Water Education Foundation - Central Valley Tour
Non-RWAA Events/Workshops

Experts to Discuss Water Transfer Dilemma, Groundwater Issues and More!

Reduced water deliveries to California's Central Valley has received national media attention in the last year, as farmers dealing with water shortages have clashed with environmentalists and fishing interests opposing increased transfers out of the Delta.

Join the Foundation's Central Valley Tour, April 14-16, to learn firsthand about regional efforts to balance environmental issues with the agricultural needs of Central Valley users.

This tour begins and ends in Bakersfield and travels the length of the San Joaquin Valley. Hear from a wide range of experts on water supply and water quality issues, the Endangered Species Act. environmental restoration, groundwater governance, water transfer plans and farmland to urban conversion.

Stops include Friant Dam, San Luis Reservoir, Westlands Water District, Kern Water Bank and Friant Kern Canal. Hear local concerns on the San Joaquin River restoration plan and more. Resource speakers will represent environmental and other interests.

Don't miss this amazing educational opportunity that gives participants the chance to speak with the stakeholders involved and learn how one of the leading agricultural areas in the world is working to solve these issues that affect the rest of the state.
