Reduced water deliveries to California's Central Valley has received national media attention in the last year, as farmers dealing with water shortages have clashed with environmentalists and fishing interests opposing increased transfers out of the Delta.
Join the Foundation's Central Valley Tour, April 14-16, to learn firsthand about regional efforts to balance environmental issues with the agricultural needs of Central Valley users.
This tour begins and ends in Bakersfield and travels the length of the San Joaquin Valley. Hear from a wide range of experts on water supply and water quality issues, the Endangered Species Act. environmental restoration, groundwater governance, water transfer plans and farmland to urban conversion.
